INTROIT — “Breathe On Me, Breath of God”

WELCOME / TIME OF CENTERING

CALL TO WORSHIP
We are blessed when we stay the course,
Walking steadily on the road revealed by God.
We are blessed when we follow God’s directions,
Striving to experience God in our midst.
We don’t go off on our own;
We walk straight along the road that God has set.
God gives us strength for the journey,
And for that, we gather to give God thanks and praise.

*SHARING THE PEACE OF CHRIST

PREPARING OURSELVES FOR PRAYER
In moments like these, I sing out a song,
I sing out a love song to Jesus.

In moments like these, I lift up my hands.
I lift up my hands to the Lord.

Singing, “I love you, Lord.”
Singing, “I love you, Lord.”

Singing, “I love you, Lord. I love you.”

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and the LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*BENEDICTION RESPONSE
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended, O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive hearts reaching,
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us,
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

Did You Know?

Last week was another great “First Week of the Month” for our offerings. As you can see, our offerings are doing OK as compared to the budget but remember our budget this year started with a $4,500 loss. Please do whatever you can – through offerings and through helping with our fundraising events – to turn that loss into a gain for everyone!

“Come to me, all you that are weary and carrying heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me; for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
~ Matthew 11:28-30 (NRSV)
