The church committee holds scheduled meetings five times a year in January, February, May, September, and December. Our next scheduled meeting is Sunday, January 12. Annual reports from all ministries are due by this meeting.
Other church business is conducted outside that schedule via email or, if needed, by calling a special meeting. Our meetings begin shortly after worship ends, and everyone’s had a chance to get a cup of coffee and a snack. We do our best to conclude all church committee business by 1pm. Meetings are attended by our pastor, officers of the church, and a representative from each church ministry. At these meetings, we discuss the business of the church. Our treasurer gives a report of the church’s financial situation, and ministries give reports of their recent activity and bring forward any requests for decision and action to the committee.
We meet in a “hybrid” mode, allowing everyone to meet in person at the church or online. While face-to-face meetings are enjoyable, the church committee recognizes that online meetings work better for some. We can provide a link to attend the meeting online by request.
