Super Saturday is a full day of worship, workshops, and networking put on by the Massachusetts Conference of the United Church of Christ twice a year. It is a great opportunity to connect with the wider church and see what our sister churches are doing throughout Massachusetts while learning, meeting new folks, and worshiping together.
This spring’s Super Saturday will be held on Saturday, March 16, from 8:00am to 3:45pm at 621 in Wilbraham. The event begins with a continental breakfast followed by worship and a speaker’s presentation. This is followed by a morning workshop, lunch, and an afternoon workshop, before a brief closing. There are also table conversations and workshops available during lunchtime.
The main speaker will be Rebekah Anderson, who has presented on disability theology at the National Church Leadership Institute, Eastern Regional Youth Event, and Super Saturday. She is an alum of the Thinking About Working for God Apprenticeship of the Connecticut Conference, and the Young Adult Service Communities program of the UCC. She is in her first year at Union Theological Seminary.
More information, including descriptions of all sessions, can be found online on the MACUCC website. The church will help with the cost of registration for anyone who is interested. We also plan on organizing carpools from the church to the event and back.
