We are excited to host the Massachusetts Walking Tour for a concert as part of their 2019 Walking Tour across Massachusetts. Since 2010, this group of traveling musicians has organized walking concert tours of Massachusetts in support of culture and the arts in towns throughout the state. This year, they bring their talents to the Oldtown Church for one night, Wednesday, June 26th from 6pm to 8pm. Each concert collaborates with local artists, musicians, educational programs, and others to highlight artistic diversity and recreational land use.
It is called a “walking tour” because they do in fact WALK – carrying their instruments and camping gear along the way – to each and every show! After eight to thirteen miles or so of hiking the beautiful roads and trailways of our state, they perform a concert at each stop, sharing their love of folk music with local artists and appreciative audiences. Come join us and this intrepid troop of musicians dedicated to the love of their craft as we celebrate local talent and resources, discuss the treasures of our community, and enjoy a great performance.
Doors open at 5:30pm and the concert begins at 6pm. The concert is free and sponsored by the North Attleboro Cultural Council.
