On August 17, 2025, members of the newly formed Hospitality Ministry met with Pastor Kelly for an organizational meeting.
We reviewed and approved our ministry statement. We discussed guidelines for what our intentions are.
We are prepared to receive food, etc, arriving at the church during functions such as collations, weddings, and meetings. We will set up and serve as needed. We will provide, set up, and serve coffee, tea, and a child-appropriate beverage. This beverage service will be offered for all events held in Maxcy Hall.
We discussed ways we could recognize our own people on their special days in a sustainable, equitable manner.
It was suggested (recommended) that support and overseeing regular coffee hour be transferred from the Deacons to the Hospitality Ministry. This change was approved by the church committee and put into effect immediately.
