In the last days, it will be, God declares, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh…Acts 2:17a (NRSV)
This Sunday is Pentecost Sunday when we remember the coming of the Holy Spirit and we celebrate the beginning of the Christian church and its call to mission and ministry. Pentecost comes fifty days after the Resurrection on Easter, and the story of Pentecost can be found in the book of Acts 2:1-21.
This year the Southern New England Conference of the United Church of Christ has shared a worship service with us so that we can hear voices from Conference staff and churches in our area. We will be using several portions of the service that was shared with us in our Oldtown service this week, including a sermon from the Rev. Darrell Goodwin, the Executive Conference Minister of the SNEUCC.
Join us as we get to know and worship with our brothers and sisters in the wider area church.
