FIRST CONGREGATIONAL CHURCH, UCC
WELCOME TO OLDTOWN
North Attleborough, MA • February 1, 2026

“Joy is what happens to us when we make time to realize how good things really are.”
~ Marianne Williamson
Ministers: ALL of our Members and Friends
Pastor & Teacher: The Rev. Kelly Thibeault
Welcome to the Oldtown Church!
We are so glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. We invite you to join in on the bold print in the bulletin and to stand as you are able any time you see a ⇑. The restrooms are out the back door of the sanctuary to the right, as is a little space in case your little one needs a walkabout. Here in Oldtown, we are all about being curious, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, and please join us for fellowship with coffee and refreshments after worship!
Finally, as a way of honoring our time together and truly loving our neighbor, we ask that you please silence your phone or, better yet, turn it off, allowing yourself to be truly present in worship.

TIME OF SHARING
Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus,
To reach out and touch Him, and say that we love Him.
Open our ears, Lord, and help us to listen.
Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus.
SCRIPTURE READING: Philippians 1:3-6 (NT 239)

PREPARING OURSELVES FOR PRAYER
In moments like these, I sing out a song,
I sing out a love song to Jesus.
In moments like these, I lift up my hands,
I lift up my hands to the Lord.
Singing, I love You, Lord.
Singing, I love You, Lord.
Singing, I love You, Lord.
I love You.
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended, O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive hearts reaching,
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us,
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

We’re open Wednesdays & Saturdays 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon
Ways you can help:
- We are having a jeans/pants sale for the month of February. We are looking for clean jeans/pants in good condition.
- Thank you for your generous donations. Moving forward, we ask that all donations be dropped off during shop hours.
- All donations should be clean, usable, and without chips or dents. No dish sets, please.
Thanks so much for all the support you have given this mission.

Get in the game to tackle hunger! Next Sunday, February 8th, we invite you to wear your favorite football swag to worship as our church family collects cans of soup and financial donations to support local food banks and help neighbors in need in our community. Every can + every dollar makes a difference—and 100% of what we collect goes straight to local food charities working to ensure no one goes without a meal.
Join the movement, share the love, let’s score big for good!
And GO PATS!!

STEWARDSHIP CORNER
Weekly Giving
- Two weeks ago, we welcomed 45 people in worship. Our total giving to the church over the past two weeks, including our “snow day” last week, was $775.17, which is $2,224.83 less than expected.
- Our congregational giving so far this year is $100 less than expected. Remember, even when our worship is cancelled, you can continue to support the church through online giving.
Here in Oldtown, our church family does wonderful work to support our community and our world while also supporting each other spiritually and in many other ways. As a Congregational Church, nothing happens unless WE make it happen. As today is our annual meeting, consider which ministries you might be interested in working with, or think about whether you’d enjoy being part of our church committee. Working together, we can do wondrous things in the name of Jesus, bringing joy to ourselves and others in the process.
Rejoice in the Lord always; again I will say, Rejoice. Let your gentleness be known to everyone. The Lord is near. Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
