Welcome to the Oldtown Church!

We are so glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. We invite you to join in on the bold print in the bulletin and to stand as you are able any time you see a . The restrooms are out the back door of the sanctuary to the right, as is a little space in case your little one needs a walkabout. Here in Oldtown, we are all about being curious, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, and please join us for fellowship with coffee and snacks after worship!
Finally, as a way of honoring our time together and truly loving our neighbor, we ask that you please silence your phone or, better yet, turn it off, allowing yourself to be truly present in worship.

WONDERFUL WORDS FROM THE WORLD

St. Francis of Assisi – Keep a clear eye toward life’s end. Do not forget your purpose and destiny as God’s creature. What you are in his sight is what you are and nothing more. Remember that when you leave this earth, you can take nothing that you have received…but only what you have given; a full heart enriched by honest service, love, sacrifice, and courage.
   ~ St. Francis of Assisi

WONDERFUL WORDS FROM THE PSALMS

Psalm 145:8-9 – The Lord is gracious and merciful, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. The Lord is good to all, and his compassion is over all that he has made.

WONDERFUL WORDS FROM THE BOOK OF ACTS

Acts 2:45 – They would sell their possessions and goods and distribute the proceeds to all, as any had need.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER

Weekly Giving

  • Last week, we welcomed 55 people to worship with us. Our total giving to the church last week was $693.39, which is $729.69 less than expected.
  • So far, this year’s congregational giving has been $4,600 more than expected. Keep up the great work!!

Last week, Pastor Kelly reminded us of the various ways we demonstrate our generosity as a congregation. Through our donations, we share our abundance with others in our community. By volunteering our time to help with church suppers, fairs, and other events, we share fellowship with those who join us. By supporting the church, we provide safe spaces for worship, fellowship, and recovery group meetings.

If there is among you anyone in need, a member of your community in any of your towns within the land that the Lord your God is giving you, do not be hard-hearted or tight-fisted toward your needy neighbor. You should rather open your hand, willingly lending enough to meet the need, whatever it may be. […] Give liberally and be ungrudging when you do so, for on this account the Lord your God will bless you in all your work and in all that you undertake.
