WELCOME TO OLDTOWN
where we learn to breathe deeply, listen carefully,

and love unconditionally so that we can

Ministers: ALL of our Members and Friends
Pastor & Teacher: The Rev. Kelly Thibeault
Welcome to the Oldtown Church!
We are so glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. We invite you to join in on the bold print in the bulletin and to stand as you are able any time you see a ⇑. The restrooms are out the back door of the sanctuary to the right, as is a little space in case your little one needs a walkabout. Here in Oldtown, we are all about being curious, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, and please join us for fellowship with coffee and snacks after worship!
Finally, as a way of honoring our time together and truly loving our neighbor, we ask that you please silence your phone or, better yet, turn it off, allowing yourself to be truly present in worship.

This is the time when God’s people gather together.
This is the time when we wait to hear God’s word.

- Our May, June, and July fundraising was $900 less than expected, $4,800 less than expected at the end of July.
- For May, June, and July, our budgeted income was $3,500 more than expected, while our budgeted expenses were $4,100 less than expected.
- So far this year, our total income is $2,400 more than our total expenses.
Today, we begin a season of contemplating how we can go out in the world and act out our faith to bring about the Kingdom of Heaven here on earth, as Jesus calls us to do. As we hear stories of how people of diverse faiths have impacted our world, take a moment to consider how to apply what we discuss on Sundays to the world outside of church throughout the week.
But be doers of the word and not merely hearers who deceive themselves. For if any are hearers of the word and not doers, they are like those who look at themselves in a mirror; for they look at themselves and, on going away, immediately forget what they were like. But those who look into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and persevere, being not hearers who forget but doers who act—they will be blessed in their doing.
