Ministers: ALL of our Members and Friends
Pastor & Teacher: The Rev. Kelly Thibeault

Welcome to the Oldtown Church!

We are so glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. We invite you to join in on the bold print in the bulletin and to stand as you are able whenever you see a . The restrooms are out the back door of the sanctuary to the right, as is a little space in case your little one needs a walkabout. Here in Oldtown, we are all about being curious, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, and please join us for fellowship with coffee and refreshments after worship!
Finally, as a way of honoring our time together and truly loving our neighbor, we ask that you please silence your phone or, better yet, turn it off, so you can be truly present in worship.

WELCOME / WORSHIP WAYS

A TIME FOR LETTING GO / OPENING PRAYER

CALL TO WORSHIP
Who are we?
We are disciples, followers of Jesus.
How do we live out our faith?
With fairness and dignity.
How shall we treat our neighbor?
With compassion and love.

⇑ HYMN C#90–“Come, Christians, Join to Sing”

TIME OF SHARING (C#259)
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.
Melt me, mold me, fill me, use me.
Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.

SCRIPTURE READING: Psalms 150:1-5 (OT 717)

SHARING OUR FAITH STORIES
When someone shares a faith story with you, it’s a holy moment. The person who is speaking is testifying to the work of God in his or her life. Today we will hear from 2 people in our congregation.

Janice Dumont & Jim Fennell

PREPARING OURSELVES FOR PRAYER (C#254)
Breathe on me, breath of God,
Fill me with life anew
That I may love what thou dost love
And do what thou dost do.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER

Weekly Giving

  • Last week, we welcomed 54 people to worship, and our total giving to the church for the week was $809.69, which is $690.31 less than expected.
  • Our congregational giving so far this year is $900 more than expected. Keep up the good work!

Worship at Oldtown is filled with uplifting and inspirational music. From the gathering song that welcomes people to our sanctuary, to the benediction song and postlude that send people out into the world, we weave a soundtrack that connects with the day’s scripture and Pastor Kelly’s message. On any Sunday, you may hear one of your favorite old-time hymns alongside one of today’s popular Contemporary Christian songs. Music connects us emotionally, teaches scripture, expresses gratitude, and prepares hearts for God’s word. Join us in singing God’s praises!

O come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!
