Spirit of the living God, fall afresh on me.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

BENEDICTION

BENEDICTION RESPONSE
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended. O now be extended
the fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive hearts reaching,
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us,
to work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

  • Last week, our total offering to the church was $1,917.10, which is $662.38 more than expected for the week.

Jesus says in the sermon on the mount that we are “the light of the world,” meant to let our light shine before others. Think of ways your faith and your church family can feed the light within you and others. How can you let your light shine for others in your family, your community, and your world? Share your ideas, and let us know how we can bring light to you and help you bring it to others.

“Darkness cannot drive out darkness; only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate; only love can do that.”
~ Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

“But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s own people, in order that you may proclaim the excellence of him who called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.
~ 1 Peter 2:9 (NRSVUE)
