Weekly Giving
- Last week, we welcomed 48 people in worship, and our total giving to the church for the week was $1,401.73, which is $17.11 less than expected.
- So far, this year’s congregational giving has been $2,200 more than expected. Keep up the great work!!
In a world increasingly filled with outrage, criticism, complaint, and verbal attacks, Jesus tells us there is another way. He tells us to love our enemies, give to those who ask of us, not refuse anyone who wants to borrow from us, care for orphans and widows in their distress, and keep ourselves unstained by the world. He also calls us to forgive those who have wronged us – a challenge, to be sure, but only light can drive out the darkness.
“You are the light of the world. A city built on a hill cannot be hid. People do not light a lamp and put it under the bushel basket; rather, they put it on the lampstand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your father in heaven.
