A MOMENT TO LET GO
OPENING PRAYER
CALL TO WORSHIP
Happy are we
When we are greeted with open arms.
Happy are we
When our knowledge is tempered by mystery.
Happy are we
When our pain is held in the arms of love.
Happy are we
When our delight comes from beyond ourselves.
⇑ HYMN C#501–”There is a Balm in Gilead”

Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus,
To reach out and touch Him and say that we love Him.
Open our ears, Lord, and help us to listen.
Open our eyes, Lord, we want to see Jesus.

PREPARING FOR PRAYER
In moments like these, I sing out a song,
I sing out a love song to Jesus.
In moments like these, I lift up my hands,
I lift up my hands to the lord.
Singing, “I love you, Lord.” Singing, “I love you, Lord.”
Singing, “I love you, Lord, I love you.”
PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER
Weekly Giving
- Last week, we welcomed 49 people in worship, and our total giving to the church for the week was $756.53, which is $395.19 less than expected.
- So far, this year’s congregational giving has been $2,100 more than expected. Keep up the great work!!
Don’t let summer travels interrupt your support for the church! It’s easy to set up online recurring giving and ensure that you’re contributing to the church evenly throughout the year! Sign up online at https://www.oldtownucc.org/giving or see Jim Fennell if you have questions.
The point is this: the one who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the one who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each of you must give as you have made up your mind, not regretfully or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to provide you with every blessing in abundance, so that by always having enough of everything, you may share abundantly in every good work.
