SERMON – “We Have an Amazing Story to Tell”

PREPARING OURSELVES FOR PRAYER
In moments like these, I sing out a song. I sing out a love song to Jesus. In moments like these, I lift up my hands. I lift up my hands to the Lord. Singing, “I love You, Lord.” Singing, “I love You, Lord.” Singing, “I love You, Lord. I love You.”

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER

Weekly Giving

  • Last week, our total giving to the church was $1,526.50, which is $271.78 more than expected.
  • So far, this year’s congregational giving is $4,800 more than we expected. Keep up the great work!!

Monthly Finances for April

  • Our fundraising for April was $50 less than expected for the month. April was a good month, keeping up with the budget, but we still have work to do to bring our fundraising up to budget for the year. Let us know if you can help us with new ideas or existing fundraisers.
  • Thanks to some generous gifts during Lent, our total income in April was almost $1,700 more than expected!
  • Our expenses in April were $900 less than expected.
  • For the year, our total income is $2,000 more than our total expenses! Let’s keep this momentum going!!!

Thanks to everyone who helped with the turkey supper. Though the number of attendees sitting down to join us for a communal meal was lower than in years past, as we thought it might be, a good time was had by guests and helpers alike. Schedules are busier, and habits and preferences have changed on this side of our pandemic experience. More folks are interested in picking up takeout meals these days, and smaller numbers with gathering together for a meal. We still need your help to continue fundraising by serving our community with good food and great fellowship. Stay tuned for our requests and find where you can help!

So if anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation: everything old has passed away; look, new things have come into being!
