Singing, “I love you, Lord.”

Singing, “I love you, Lord. I love you.”

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and the LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended, O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive hearts reaching,

Did You Know?

Even Jesus knew the importance of early morning prayer and practiced it throughout His ministry. He knew that if He didn’t set aside time first thing in the morning to meet with Our Heavenly Father, He would find it challenging to make time once He became pre-occupied with the distractions of the day. Pick up your copy of The Upper Room just outside the sanctuary or go online to the UCC Daily Devotionals page.

Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed.
~ Mark 1:35 (NRSV)
