PREPARING OURSELVES FOR PRAYER (C#586)
Open my eyes that I may see
Glimpses of truth thou hast for me.
Place in my hands the wonderful key
That shall unclasp and set me free.
Silently, now, I wait for thee,
Ready, my God, thy will to see.
Open my eyes. Illumine me, Spirit divine!

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

BENEDICTION

BENEDICTION RESPONSE
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended. O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive hearts reaching
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER

Weekly Giving

  • Last week, we welcomed 72 people in worship and a beautiful baptism ceremony, and our total giving to the church for the week was $901.43, which is $483.19 less than expected for the week.
  • So far, this year’s congregational giving is $900 more than we expected. Keep up the great work!!

On Saturday, February 17, we will be starting our “supper season” for 2024 with our popular “Turkey Takeout Supper!” We are still in need of volunteers to help prepare food on the night before, as well as to help prepare, cook, and package dinners on Saturday. If you haven’t helped us with a supper before, the Turkey Takeout is a great introduction! It’s a lot of fun, and rewarding to see the smiles on everyone’s faces. Plus the work makes the food taste that much better at the end of the night! Please see Ed Clavette or Jim Fennell if you have any questions.

If you offer your food to the hungry and satisfy the needs of the afflicted, then your light shall rise in the darkness and your gloom be like the noonday.
