WELCOME / TIME OF CENTERING

CALL TO WORSHIP
Jesus said, “Love one another, even as I have loved you.”
Love is more powerful than fear; it is mightier than hatred.
Let the love which God has lavished upon us be poured out to those in need.
Help us, O Lord, to witness to you by the ways in which we care for others.
Remind us, Lord, that we are called to be your disciples.
As we worship this morning, heal our hearts and spirits and prepare us for service. AMEN.

PREPARING OURSELVES FOR PRAYER
In moments like these, I sing out a song,
I sing out a love song to Jesus.

In moments like these, I lift up my hands.
I lift up my hands to the Lord.

Singing, “I love you, Lord.”
Singing, “I love you, Lord.”

Singing, “I love you, Lord. I love you.”

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and the LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

*BENEDICTION RESPONSE
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended. O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of the teaching, receptive hearts reaching
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

Did You Know?

  • Even though it’s summer, and it feels like things are slowing down, don’t forget that your Church Committee keeps on working to make sure things continue throughout the year. We’re making good progress on the Schoolhouse repairs and making plans for the fall suppers and the fall fair! If you’re available at all to help with anything, please see Pastor Kelly, Jim Fennell, Ed Clavette, or Deb Fennell.
  • “But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ, from whom the whole body, joined and knit together by every ligament with which it is equipped, as each part is working properly, promotes the body’s growth in building itself up in love.”

“Put away from you all bitterness and wrath and anger and wrangling and slander, together with all malice, and be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, as God in Christ has forgiven you.”
