Welcome to the Oldtown Church!

We are so glad that you have chosen to worship with us today. We invite you to join in on the bold print in the bulletin and to stand as you are able whenever you see a . The restrooms are out the back door of the sanctuary to the right, as is a little space in case your little one needs a walkabout. Here in Oldtown, we are all about being curious, so don’t be afraid to ask questions, and please join us for fellowship with coffee and refreshments after worship!
Finally, as a way of honoring our time together and truly loving our neighbor, we ask that you please silence your phone or, better yet, turn it off, so you can be truly present in worship.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER

Weekly Giving

  • Last week, we welcomed 47 people in worship, and our total giving to the church for the week was $1,090.89, which is $409.11 less than expected.
  • Our congregational giving so far this year is $100 more than expected. Keep up the good work!

There is always a lot happening here at Oldtown. As a Congregational Church, nothing that happens at Oldtown happens unless WE make it happen. We often say, “Many hands make light work.” Now, we need more hands to help out: new hands, fresh hands, with fresh energy and fresh ideas. From school tours and fundraising events, ministry and church committee work, lawn mowing and snow shoveling, to keeping our buildings clean, supplied, and safe, and preparing for and participating in worship, there is work all around to be shared. Scripture teaches us that cooperative work is not just a practical necessity but a spiritual duty that reflects unity and shared responsibility.

Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
