Welcome, friends and strangers.
Welcome, honored guests.

May we experience peace and grace.
May we forgive and be forgiven.
Let us worship God together.

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

BENEDICTION

BENEDICTION RESPONSE
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended, O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of our teaching, receptive hearts reaching,
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us,
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

COME TO THE TABLE
An Adult Spirituality Series

Our final gathering of “Come to the Table” will be this Wednesday at 6pm. “Come to the Table” is a time to gather, break bread, share a cup of soup, and reflect on one of the sacred stories of our faith. This is not simply a time of food and fellowship but rather a sacred time to stretch our hearts and minds as we deepen our faith and feed our souls.

CHURCH CLEAN-OUT

Our next church clean-out will be October 1 st from 8:30-??? We will be working on the balcony and the “Upper Room” or “flower room” where we ring the bell. If you have items in those areas that are important to you, please identify them so they will not be cleaned out. All help is appreciated as we work to make our church a safer and more welcoming place!

HELP FEED OUR COMMUNITY

Throughout the fall, we will be collecting non-perishable food items to share with our local food pantries. If everyone brought one item per week, the baskets would quickly become bountiful and help so many hungry neighbors.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER

Weekly Giving

  • The total giving for last week was $889.99, which is $561.93 less than expected for the week.
  • Our total giving for the year is 5,300 less than we expected it to be.

Monthly Finances for August

  • Our fundraising for August was $325 less than expected for the month, and our total fundraising as of the end of August is $4,000 less than expected.
  • Our total income as of the end of August is $5,000 less than expected.
  • Our total expenses as of the end of August are $10,500 less than expected. We continue to do an outstanding job keeping our expenses down!!!
  • For the year, our total income is $3,700 less than our total expenses. Even though we’ve been doing great at keeping our expenses down, we still need to work on increasing our income in order to keep up for the year.

As a congregational church, our church IS our congregation, and nothing happens unless WE make it happen. Please consider giving of your time to help with events at the church like our church clean-out and fundraisers like our fall fair, pet clinics, and yard sales. Keep an eye out for more opportunities to help as we begin to look at scheduling events for next year!

“Who is wise and knowledgeable among you? Show by your good life that your works are done with gentleness born of wisdom. For where there is envy and selfish ambition, there will also be disorder and wickedness of every kind. But the wisdom from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, willing to yield, full of mercy and good fruits, without a trace of partiality or hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness[e] is sown in peace by those who make peace.”
