PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

BENEDICTION

BENEDICTION RESPONSE
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended, O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of our teaching, receptive hearts reaching,
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us,
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

STEWARDSHIP CORNER

Weekly Giving

  • The total giving for last week was $965.99, which is $485.93 less than expected for the week.
  • Our total giving for the year is $3,100 less than we expected it to be.

Summer is a time of resting, recreation, relaxing, and renewing. Many families with children travel during the summer because that’s the best time to fit some “time off” into a busy school and activity schedule. Others enjoy outdoor activities, time at the beach or on the water, warmer weather for camping, or simply the longer time of daylight to enjoy God’s creation. Your Stewardship Corner will be taking a “sabbatical” for the month of August, as we recharge our own batteries and prepare ourselves to welcome everyone back to the church in the fall. We can always be reached by email if you have any questions at stewardship@oldtownucc.org, and we hope everyone takes some time this summer to recharge and bring all that energy to church in the fall and beyond!

“The apostles gathered around Jesus and told him all that they had done and taught. He said to them, ‘Come away to a deserted place all by yourselves and rest a while.’ For many were coming and going, and they had no leisure even to eat. And they went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.”
