CALL TO WORSHIP
We gather together in the name of Jesus,
Members of God’s family, and brothers and sisters to one another.
There are no outsiders here among us.
No one has any special standing or bragging rights.
We have all been brought together by the love of God.
Let us all join together in worship!

PRAYERS OF THE PEOPLE and THE LORD’S PRAYER
Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be Thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread, and forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil. For Thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

⇑ BENEDICTION
⇑ BENEDICTION RESPONSE
Sent forth by God’s blessing, our true faith confessing,
The people of God from this dwelling take leave.
The service is ended, O now be extended
The fruits of our worship in all who believe.
The seed of our teaching, receptive hearts reaching,
Shall blossom in action for God and for all.
God’s grace did invite us, and love shall unite us,
To work for God’s realm and to answer the call.

COME TO THE TABLE
An Adult Spirituality Series
On Wednesday nights at 6pm during the month of September, we will be offering an adult spirituality series titled “Come to the Table.” It will be a time to gather, break bread, share a cup of soup, and reflect on one of the sacred stories of our faith. This is not simply a time of food and fellowship, but rather a sacred time to stretch our hearts and minds as we deepen our faith and feed our souls. Though we try to include all ages in everything we do in Oldtown, this series is geared toward adults.
HOUSEHOLD HUDDLE
We are excited to announce that Household Huddle will begin again on September 18 th at 9am. Household Huddle is not a “drop-off” activity for the kids, but an opportunity for families to learn about and experience faith together! All ages and stages are welcome!
HELP FEED OUR COMMUNITY
Throughout the fall we will be collecting non-perishable food items to share with our local food pantries. If everyone brought one item per week, the baskets would quickly become bountiful and help so many hungry neighbors.
STEWARDSHIP CORNER
Weekly Giving
- The total giving for last week was $966.80, which is $485.12 less than expected for the weeks.
- Our total giving for the year is $4,700 less than we expected it to be.
Monthly Finances
- We had no fundraising income for July, but July is usually a slow month for fundraising.
- Our total income as of the end of July is $3,800 less than we expected it to be.
- Our total expenses as of the end of June are $966.80 less than we expected them to be. We continue to do a great job keeping our expenses down!!!
- For the year, our total income is $4,200 less than our total expenses. We made up some ground during the month of July, but we need to continue working hard to make up the difference!!
God’s table is open to EVERYONE–not just those who look like we do, think like we do, or live like we do. Jesus ate with the sinners, the tax collectors, the poor and the outcast. He calls us to go out and invite others to come to His table. Who do you know that could benefit from or would enjoy worshiping with us on Sunday mornings? It’s easy to extend an invitation.
“Hear, everyone who thirsts; come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”
